Andrew Carroll, Professor of Dance, USF, holds a BFA in Dance, and an MA in Arts Administration. Mr. Carroll has an extensive background in the performing arts, performing nationally and internationally for nine years as a soloist with the Philadelphia Ballet Company. His repertoire included: Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, The Cavalier in The Nutcracker, principal roles in the Balanchine repertoire, William Forsythe, Paul Taylor, Anthony Tudor, Alvin Ailey among others. His career spanned performing throughout the United States, South America, China and Europe. He was named a cultural ambassador to the City of Philadelphia.
In 2010, Mr. Carroll joined USF, where he now teaches all levels of ballet and ballet history. He has produced twelve videos ranging in subject matter from bullying, dating violence, and Parkinson’s disease that have been invited world-wide by organizations to be used educationally. He speaks internationally, and is a certified Dance for Parkinson’s teacher.
